Testimonial - Chris C.

LaLanne Fitness image

The most interesting part of the Crossfit program and what Chris has done with it is that he uses the group dynamic in an extremely positive way. We all encourage each other to work as hard we can during the WODs--even if we don't say anything to one another...

Friday Night Fights #1

Our 1st Friday Night Fights at the Brickhouse was a blast! To kick-off the football season, the attire was appropriate to say the least. The workout consisted of "football style" warm-up drills followed by a team effort with the barbells! Check-out all the action, on our Friday Night Fights #1 FLICKr SHOW! Get ready to rumble at FNF #2 when Halloween comes early on Friday, October 2nd!

Can you DEFEND YOURSELF?

For both men and women, self defense is an invaluable skill. The ability to protect and defend yourself when in physical danger could some day be a matter of life or death. True to the CrossFit philosophy of being prepared for the unknowable nature of life, I would like to provide the LALANNE FITNESS community a chance to aquire these life saving skills. The CrossFit community has teamed up with Tony Blauer, founder of Blauer Tactical Systems and creator of The S.P.E.A.R. SYSTEM™.

The S.P.E.A.R. SYSTEM™ (Spontaneous Protection Enabling Accelerated Response) is a scientifically researched & medically reviewed personal defense measure that exploits the body’s natural responses to violence and danger. This survival mechanism, dubbed: Startle-Flinch Response has been scientifically integrated into a series of neuro-muscular drills that teaches individuals how to convert their instinctive reactions into protective and combative tactics.

Omega-3’s & Body Composition…

Evidence suggests that the omega-3 long-chain fatty acids EPA and DHA influence body composition. Animal studies dating back twenty years have shown that EPA and DHA reduce fat accumulation in rats, and preliminary evidence in humans also suggests EPA and DHA could be valuable in fat loss programs...

An ACTION packed PROGRAM!

Our coaches come from a variety of backgrounds. Each one brings something unique to the PROGRAM. Recently, Kelly coached a class that involved the old Tug-o'-War game! Then she tested our MAX HEIGHT BOX JUMP. Bringing back the old or trying something completely new and different is what CrossFit is all about. Variety is the key to making our program interesting, stimulating and fun!
