Let's take time to honor one of the most influential women in my life, my grandmother, Francisca Zavala Castro (aka "Bita"). She earned her angel wings on Oct. 30, 2009 at 12:45 PM. We will miss her so very much. She was such a strong woman with a lifetime of battle wounds that would take even the strongest man down. My Bita was a fighter and survived so many ailments that she wasn't expected to survive. If I have learned anything from my grandma, it was to get back onto your feet when life knocks you down. I am so grateful to have been blessed with her love. Thank you Bita for everything you taught me and all the love you gave me. I know you'll be watching over us from Heaven. Homemade "V-8"
Tabasco sauce
1 cup water
1 tomato
1 tbsp ginger
1 tbsp garlic
1 cup celery
1 cup kale
1 cup spinach
1/2 banana
1/2 apple
Place ingredients into a blender for 30 seconds, refrigerate, enjoy.
