Welcome JOE to the MUSCLE UP CLUB…

Welcome JOE to the MUSCLE UP CLUB... 26 days ago, JOE made an impression on me as a coach. Not only did he make his 1st Muscle Up look easy, he went on to do a total of 30 in that class. In the photo below of our wall of fame, you will see his name at the bottom. Since the rings have been up, there are quite a few students that were able to make it happen, how many can you count?

I was worried that as a short, fat, out-of-shape queer liberal intellectual I wouldn't fit in at a CrossFit gym. I thought CrossFitters were all right-wing and socially conservative and gun nuts. The community at LaLanne Fitness has proven me wrong over and over...

I'll never forget the first time Gareth said, "C'mon, mate!" as we started a jog around the block. I was so grateful to be acknowledged. The beast-mode guys have welcomed me as a fellow traveler learning complicated skills; the women (especially Ty and Nat and Sarah) have pushed me to achievements that seemed out of my reach, like my very first unaided pull-ups and a body-weight bench press. Now I get to be a part of the welcoming committee for new members; I can't wait to show you what you can accomplish if you train with us.
