8 am - ~50g left over halibut, final bites of the zuccini/bok choy + small piece of fresh homemade almond lemon bread from co-worker
1:30 pm - mmmm Mingalaba in Burlingame  beef curry, papaya salad, a tiny bit of brown rice...might be a little leftover before my redeye to Toronto tonight.
8 pm @ airport - ick food

8 am - smoothie (1/4c blueberry + pineapple bits, amazing grass, super seed) + steamed tilapia (left over from last night) + coffee + herbal tea (for my sore throat)
11:30 am - crunchy pb& j on wheat + sesame yummy thing from the cafe at work
7 pm - halibut + left-over bok choy & zuccini
8 pm - couple bites of vanilla bean ice cream & mango sorbet

11:30 am - 2 small bites of a baked custard bun from work's breakfast spread...they're trying to make us all fat
12:45 pm - 4 egg whites scrambled with 3/4 c broccoli + small grapefruit
2:30 pm - Starbucks blueberry, strawberry granola parfait
6 pm - almond crunch PureFit bar
9:30 pm - 115g steamed tilapia, 1/2 c sliced/sauteed zuccini in ~1 tbs coconut oil, 1/c steamed bok choy

5:30 am - 5 almonds + coffee, black
8:30 am - berry smoothie (1/2c mixed strawberry, blackberry, blueberry + amazing grass + 18 g whey protein + super seed)
10:45 am - leftovers...thought they'd be enough for lunch (1/2 spinach omelet+ 1/2 slice of walnut cinnamon toast + few bites of country potatoes)
1:45 pm - lost my mind 'cause leftovers were NOT enough for my first day back to LLF (bad choice; Starbucks ham & cheese sandwich)
7:15 pm - zzzzz, started to make dinner, lost interest....had a couple yummy bites of vanilla bean ice cream + mango sorbet
I must make food ahead of time or else this kind of crappy eating day will happen again :(

5:30 am (pre-workout) - handful almonds, 1/3 purefit bar
7 am (post-workout) - protein shake
8 am - protein, super seed, super food, blueberry/pineapple smoothie
10 am - cup o'joe + skim milk
11:30 am - 1 poached egg, 1 piece of turkey bacon, olive salad & 5 pieces of honeydew melon (CbR)
2:30 pm - vanilla & jamocha almond fudge w/ almonds on top (ice cream social at work...couldn't resist)
6:30 pm - 1 glass of pinot + chicken breast CbR dinner
8:30 pm - apple (latest thing that keeps me from eating bad stuff)

It's been a long while....tough road back to good food.
7:30 am whey protein, super seed, super grass + 3/4 cup mixed fresh fruit smoothie (melon/blueberry)
9 am cup of joe + skim milk
**50 oz H20 before lunch**
12:00 pm 1c organic cottage cheese, 2 cup mixed greens + 1/2c mixed melon/strawberry
3 pm 20 g pure protein bar
**50 oz H2o before dinner**
5:30 pm apple
8:30 pm rosemary stuffed chicken breast + zucchini/bell pepper steamed with apple

week of 7/13
Hit-up a new produce market over the weekend that sells only local produces...while not all organic...it's better than Safeway. We bought most of our groceries for the week at that spot and I'm packing a full day of meals so that it makes eating on paleo much more manageable.
Paleo plan of attack that seems to work....still eating whatever I want as long as it's not processed.
Mornings:
- (breakfast) fruit w/chicken or two egg whites (I saw that these should be limited but still unsure why...must ask Chris)
- (snack) fruit / veggie
Mid-Day:
- (lunch) mixed greens + salad yummies (i.e. fruit/nuts/chopped veggies) or veggie combo w/ chicken or fish
- (snack) veggie + handful of nuts
- (dinner) lean meat + mixed greens or a veggie combo
Surprisingly, I haven't had any crazy sugar cravings because I get plenty from the fruit. I LOVE that I can eat fruit now. I didn't like that the zone over restricted fruit as carbs. Plus, I don't worry if I have a little something that's not "on the program" as long as those items are consumed extremely infrequently (tiny portion <2x/week).

10:30 am (breakfast) 1c cantaloupe & 2 oz tuna
12:15 pm (snack) 1/2c watermelon, 1/2 orange & a hard boiled egg w/o yolk
6 pm (lunch...waited too long) 1/2c steamed chard, 1 chicken patty, 3c mixed greens, 1T balsalmic/olive oil, 1 pealed pear

Lost track of the food log for the week!
First week on paleo went well. I was surprised how easy it is for me to adjust from zone to paleo. I'm not aware of any huge changes in how I feel. I'll keep updating on that front.
First week's moto: eat whatever I want as long as it's not processed and focus on getting a little lean protein in at every meal. This was surprisingly easy. I even ate out a few times without any trouble. Looks like this'll be another life change for me. Thanks bro!
