We finished reading In Defense of Food and Rick(BF) is very inspired - I thought he'd resist since he loves his rice and bread, but he's really excited about learning to cook and eat in at home. When I met him, it seemed he ate out every night. Now that he sees how easy it is to turn on the oven and roast some veggies, he's on board grin

1/14 - woke up hungry this am!! maybe b/c not eating a lot at night....really just a good snack...
1 veggie sausage patty
egg casserole ~2 eggs
pineapple 2/3c
cucumber - 1c
coffee with milk

1 pkg sensible foods- Hmm... in hindsight, even though it is dried fruit, I just read the nutrition information... how can 1/2 cup of fruit only have 1g fiber and 18g carbs? maybe not so sensible. but was tasty.

2/3 c. lentil veggie soup
greens & carrots w/ rosemary vinaigrette
fish - 8 oz

2 tangerines
1/2 c. reese's pieces. ick. i twirled and galavanted for a while. I need to just skip the kitchen. or just get tea there.

I read a great diet plan last night:
Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants.

It is hard to resist convenience foods when I've missed a meal and become ravenous. Or sometimes, I just really want a cookie. I've known forever that a plate of pasta makes me sick. But what about a little rice?

I realized that the timing of my weight gain (7lbs) coincides with a change in medication - can't believe I didn't think of this earlier, but it changed my appetite and I was a little lazy on my diet, but not 7 lbs worth! Checking with my Dr. to check back to old prescription and see if that changes anything.
