Read about the Zone last night - nothing too scary and I know when I eat that way I feel good...but I will have to track down some protein sources for snacks and maybe even to bring (hoard? )at work. When I go to the store, I need to remember to pick up some Morning Star Farms veggie sausage, chicken, tofu and maybe some shrimp to keep around the house. Oh, and protein powder for the smoothies...
Was bummed again to come to work and the fruit was gone.

smoothie - 1 banana, 5 strawberries, 1/4c. nf plain yogurt, 1/2 c. oj. (went to make eggs, then realized how long ago they expired! I love eggs - I used to make this really great quiche with no crust...should do that again...)

1/2 c. oatmeal w/ 1 tsp almonds, cinnamon
2 pc. string cheese

3 c. greens & cucumbers, pickled onions, 1tbsp dressing(seemed oily) 2tbsp black beans
2 pc. chicken. I took off the skin, but it seemed greasy still

2 oz tofu & cucumbers

special dinner out with BF!! 2 cocktails
1 roll with butter
duck (decided against eating the polenta since it looked like melted cheese!)
greens
beet and orange salad
souffle

2 chugs coke to rebalance post-drink sugar dip that made me queasy

Hmm... this is going to be the tough part. I've been such a chow hound lately! I'll check out the Zone diet this weekend. I'm not much for dieting and I love food like life itself, but maybe if I don't eat Thai so much at night...

I'm really lucky that I have healthy breakfast and lunch options at the office. I'll have to be a little more strategic about getting some veggies for later in the afternoon - I love cucumbers and as long as I'm not starving and just being munchy, I can eat them non stop and not have to worry about calories. Unfortunately, I didn't plan that far ahead today and ended up tracking down cookies. Maybe I could have had popcorn instead...

1/2 bagel w/ cream cheese & lox, capers
1/2 c. lowfat cottage cheese
coffee , 1/3 c. soy milk

lunch: greens, tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots 8 oz turkey

1oz string cheese

8 wheat thins

4 of the yummy yummy wafer cookies in the office
