Hi gang.

So I stopped doing CF because of returned pain in my right shoulder, hence I didn’t do Helen on Friday and so I missed my Dec 22 goal… Good news is that doctors didn’t find anything wrong on X-Rays, no broken bones or traces of them been broken at any time. Bad news is that they can’t figure out cause of pain… So there was mumbling about doing physiotherapy and if that won’t help visit orthosomethingoranother specialist. I’m not too excited about either prospects.

In the mean time my son’s having his Christmas ski camp, so we’re at the mountain Bear Valley on two weeks skiing spree. I’m not going too crazy to avoid putting too much stress on my shoulder. But I’m getting pretty serious legs/cardio workout everyday smile

I’m returning to SF and doing Crossfit on Monday, January 5th, 2009 and hopefully we’ll figure out my training routines and ways to decompress the shoulder (doctor’s guess is that I’d compressed soft tissues from the impact, impact indeed was very heavy).

Jenny, two words: YOU ROCK! Well, I need three words: YOU ABSOLUTELY ROCK! You’re my role model at working on and reaching the goals.

Chris and Maribel, stay strong, you have so much love for each other, it makes LaLanne Crossfit a charming place and it makes us feel like family.

Mike, where is your goals, bud. I showed you examples and how to post replies, no excuses!

Happy Holidays, love you all
- Eugene.

Hey guys, how is it going.

Let’s keep this thing going instead of wheathering it off.

I have been promptly missing my everyday’s goals with the excuse of strained muscle, how weak of me. So the resolution is no matter what JUST DO IT starting next week.

Chris, those Helen trials were great, now we need to do two runs, and keep wide grip on those Double Unders!

Jenny, thanks for the wonderful class today, helped me a TON! I’ll bring the book on Monday and talk to my friend about coming to the gym

Maribel, big hugs and warm congratulations to you. This is the most awesome thing that can ever happen to a couple. Enjoy every moment of it, talk to the little one and keep swimming, this is really healthy for both of you. Remember, only positive and cheerful thoughts for the entire time! smile

Mike, next time I see you in the class I’ll teach you how to use this forum and reply to your own thread so that you’d have all your workouts nicely stack one on another instead of miriad threads scattered all over smile You were amazing doing Nate!

How have my goals changed? Dramatically. My #1 goal is to have a healthy baby. I have to listen to my body and do what’s right for me. If I feel ok to do a WOD, I will do it (scaled). Right now, I can’t walk very far without losing my breath. This means I need to take things easy for awhile, especially since I am only 5 weeks pregnant. I am holding off on hitting any PRs until after I have the baby. I can work for the rest of my life towards muscle-ups and body weight OLY lifts, so I am not worried. I am just focusing on my little bean right now. I will, however, be there to support every single student and help them to achieve their goals.

How are things going with you guys?

Jenny:The daily HSPU sounds awesome! How’s the nutrition coming along? Today’s log seemed pretty good.
Eugene: OHS- handle them man!!
Chris: You are going to be the best daddy ever! Thanks for helping me while I have been under the weather.

Jenny: I’m not done helping you with nutrition…this is just the beggining!
Maribel: Take is easy, you are doing the right thing!
Mike:YOoooooooo…Mike!

Eugene:  Ok…Obviously mu DU need serious help.  We will work on this.  Hand stand Push-ups will improve.

Thanks to Eugene(I was wondering why he stuck around after class), I did one round of HELEN as fast as possible.
Here’s the splits:
Run 400m-1:18.74
transition-2.7
KB Swing-39
transition-3.5
Pull-Ups-14.25
=2:18.25 (THE QUEST FOR A SUB-7 MINUTE HELEN)

hey hey

THANKS Chris for restoring my confidence in OHS and showing what is proper OHS and proper weights, truly inspiring. I immensively enjoyed today’s class! Seen your Helen trial was icing on the cake. That’s how it is done!!!

Maribel, I hope you feel better and will be back at 100% sooner than you think!

Jenny, how did solo swimming go?

(radio statics, noise) Mike, motivation corner’s calling, over! (radio statics, noise)

I didn’t run 400m today because I do have inflammation on my hip (from squats etc) that I’d rather heal first, Chris showed me good stretch for it and I’ll be actively healing it instead of passive rest. But for this week I won’t stress it beyond warm-up/wod required moves. I did do muscle-up practices and it does feel improved. Looking forward to Wednesday’s pull-up clinics smile

Handstand Push-ups…these will be part of my warm-up every day!  My guess is that my increase in BW (approx.10lbs.) over the last few months will make these more challenging, however, this should be off-set by my increase in overhead press strength(145#x5). I predict that I will be able to bang these out(21 continuous) early next year when my BW returns to a leaner/strong 185?
