Motivation Group:

Maribel, Chris, Jenny, Eugene

Today at the Sports Psychology seminar we were broken up into teams of 4. We discussed our short and long term goals and made a pact to help each other achieve those goals by motivation and encouragement from the other members in your group. This thread is for my group. We will help motivate each other on here, everyday! Right guys?

Here were my goals:

By May 22, 2009 (6 month goal): I will be doing a sprint triathlon and be able to do muscle-ups in a WOD.

By Feb. 22, 2009 (3 month goal): I will be able to do 10 consecutive muscle-ups and attempt to do an open water swim.

By Dec. 22, 2009 (1 month goal): I will be able to swim 500 meters continuously and be able to do at least ONE muscle-up.

This week I will: do muscle-up practice for at least 5 minutes a day whenever I am at LaLanne Fitness. (This is how I was able to get myself to do kipping pull-ups in 11 weeks, practice, practice, practice.) Also, I will swim/bike/run at least 2x week… maybe not at all once.

Tomorrow I will: run a 5k to get a baseline. I will not be scared.  rolleyes

I will try my best. I will give it all I have. I will be patient with myself. I will succeed. I won’t EVER quit.
