Until now, I was using the bloc chart to portion out my meals but I realized that the chart really is only a guideline. I noticed that I was getting less protien and more fat than previously thought. Will be more careful reading labels from now on.

Wasn't really that hungry today, forced myself to eat, didn't want to get off schedule or freak my body out.
Today was my rest day and I experimented with a protein rich diet and cut out most carbs to increase the amount of glucagon in my system, ie. make my cells release energy, ie. fat (idea from Chris' food diary). If this isn't a good idea, let me know!!!

I am sore and tired; I would feel better if I had more energy but I have none to speak of. I laid in bed most of the day, flipped my mattress, made my bed, and laid in it some more. I think I’m not getting enough fat. I reread the crossfit nutrition packet again and didn’t realize that my protein source is assumed to have 1.5 grams of fat in it, those of which I don’t count in my fat blocs. I will see if this is what is killing my energy.

I couldn't really sleep last night and as soon as I did fall asleep, I woke up and my stomach was growling. Weirdest thing! So I had a small midnight snack and that seemed to help the sleeping situation. I went through my calories yesterday and realized that they were way below what they probably should have been (just under 1000) so I tried to eat more today and fill up on good, wholesome food. I think I might have to bump up my blocs (currently following the 11 bloc diet) because it seems like I'm struggling to find enough calories, even among all the cheese I eat!
