Well it's only day 2 and so far I'm OK although was a little hungry yesterday, but that may have had to do with missing that one meal. I miss my coffee. Did you know coffee tastes like crap without any kind of dairy confused ? I probably need to add more fat and reduce the protein but I'll have to figure that one out when I have time. For now I have my food packed through end of day tomorrow. If you have any suggestions I'm definitely happy to hear them. Oh and I should mention that this is not a diet I intend to maintain. It was put together specifically to reduce fat and gain muscle in the next month. After the month is over I intend to change it up a bit. To what you ask? No idea ...

Whoa nelly! Are we trying out the Anabolic Diet here? I seem to remember you mentioning that one of your goals was to add size (good on you) and I have to say you're definitely getting enough protein. If we assume that a scoop of whey is about 20g (3 blocks) then I'm seeing 20 blocks of protein, and that's not including the meal you forgot to eat! By contrast, I'm seeing maybe 2 or 3 blocks of carbs (I'm not familiar with grapefruit being measured in oz.)

How are you feeling?

Monday 4.20.09 - Day 1

So I decided I was finally get serious about my eating and figured what better motivator then my trip over Memorial Weekend to South Beach ... think beach and bathing suits! smile

I have actually been tracking my food for the past month trying to get a better feel for how much fat, carbs and protein I was taking in and the overall calories. It was definitely eye opening to see. I have always been pretty good about eating but I had never really tracked it to that level before. I also learned it was VERY time consuming and I really just wanted someone to tell me what to eat. I know sounds pretty lazy doesn't it? My biggest challenge is that I work an "8-5" job that can be time consuming, so it's hard to get in meals every 3 hour. I am also obligated to go to many lunches and dinners.

My diet for the next month is pretty strict and very boring. I think I'm going to have to find some way to change it up a bit if I'm going to sustain this (I love food too much). I'm also going to have to figure out how to eat when I go out to dinner. I seem to remember a post from Chris awhile ago so I'll have to go back and take a look.

I'm also going to track how I'm feeling and how it affects my performance. I've never been this strict with my diet before so I'm interested to see how it'll make me feel.

Oh and if anyone knows of another word besides "diet" please share! I'm getting quite a bit of harassment from my friends and fam because they can't understand why I'm "dieting" long face
