low carb day (starting new carb / calorie cycling)
active rest day...worked from home
all I ate today was a pound or two ground bison w/zucchini and onion, for each meal,
and a bag of trail mix
Need to sit down this weekend and begin calorie counting...just trying to get used to low carb days again right now

Monday May 10 Low Cal/ Low Carb day
Back to Calorie / Carb cycling
Spoke to a professor of metabolism / researcher at Berkley this weekend. Turns out calorie cycling / intermittent is how researchers study aging effects in mice, and that it the calorie cycling causes the mice to produce a general purpose, "anti-aging" enzyme. There are apparently drugs in the work to sell enzyme "activators"
She didn't know about the Paleo Diet...but is interested.
Also, one of Jim's top women is a big advocate of calorie cycling...although Jim says just eat eat eat. I find I am getting stronger but fatter ...I don't want to end up looking like the Iranian world champion...

1 muscle milk (~270 cal)
a little chicken (50 cal?)

1 oh-yeah (~220 cal)
1 date roll (~110 cal)
lost track but still staying low carbs...will do this until Wed
