CHOOSE FRESH FRUITS AND VEGETABLES

A low glycemic-load diet such as The Paleo Diet, is based on fresh fruit and vegetables. These foods will not increase insulin levels in the body the way processed foods will. Remember to focus on fresh fruits and vegetables vs. a high glycemic, processed foods diet. diet Eating fruit and vegetables will create a net-base-producing diet, were as a diet of processed foods is net-acid-producing. An acidic state in the body can leech vital nutrients and lead to vitamin and mineral deficiency. Eat your vegetables raw if possible. Cooking can devitalize your foods and decrease the health benefits. Canned and frozen vegetables have a small portion of the nutrient value when compared to fresh fruits and vegetables. Vitamins, minerals, fiber, phyto-chemicals and other compounds found only in fresh fruits and vegetables can safeguard your health, prevent disease and help you shed body fat.
