The Paleo Diet is high in good fats and we need these fats in our diet for optimum health. Omega-3 fatty acids are important for normal hormonal functioning and to prevent blood clotting, lower blood pressure and protect against autoimmune disease. Oleic Acids found in olive oil and fish oils can boost fat loss by increasing your metabolic rate. These essential fatty acids build hormones called eicosanoids, which are very important for hormonal control and good health in general.
