Chris/Maribel, any chance the “LF Running Crew” can get its own forum? Will be easier to manage runs if each date/run can be its own thread, instead of everything piling up in this one thread…
Please don’t run too fast, or I will get lost once we are north of Pier 23. I am slow, and the northern part of the city scares me with its cleanliness and greenery.
kthxbye
xoxo
PS - if there are other non-distance runners who are thinking of taking part…don’t be shy. I’m going to try my best not to throw up after 3 miles, so you won’t be alone. I don’t think I’ve ever run more than 5 miles in my life without losing my breakfast. But if we stick to it maybe we can convince these crazies to do some sprint repeats at Kezar one of these times - you know, something reasonable.
Saturday works for me. It will give me an excuse to make merry on Christmas without too much vino. I have no preference on the distance. Just keep me posted. Looking forward to it.
Yay! I am glad that sounds good to you! One thing however is that according to the weather report it is supposed to rain on sunday. So i was thinking maybe this week we could move the run to saturday at 10:30??? It it supposed to be nice on saturday.
One other thought…if more people would be interested if the run is a little shorter, we could meet at the Ferry building and do the same run from there. It shortens the distance to about 5 miles round trip…any thoughts from anyone about distance???
And yes… I agree that sundays at 10:30 should otherwise be the regular meeting time…
OK I know I am a dork…. BUT I am soooo glad there is interest from other LF people in this running crew!! I really love running and it is so much more fun doing it with other people… as well as trying new runs!!!
Awesome! I would be happy to plan it, although I do agree about the rain.
IF is isn’t raining, I would propose a run, from the gym up the embarcadero through aquatic park and up the FT. Mason Hill. Its about 3.5 miles each way. There are monkey bars at the top by bay and octavia. I like to do some sets of pull ups, push ups and K2E and then run back….
In my opinion I think it’s better to keep the running to days when there aren’t already scheduled classes at the gym. Speaking for myself, I will be doing class wed eve, and generally on the days that they are offered.
That said, there aren’t any classes this weekend… So we could do fri, sat, or sun, if there is interest. Maneesh, if you want to do CFE on one of those days I am sure that’s fine…I don’t know how many people will be around this weekend because of the holidays, but if that doesn’t workout Peggy mentioned this morning that she might be interested in planning a run on sunday if she gets back in time.
Or I am happy to plan this one as well…Will anyone who will be around and might be interested in running with us please post?? THANKS
I would prefer to keep the runs on sun since I like to go to class on sat morn. However, we could do shorter runs on sat in the afternoon or after class if people want to do that….
