The NorCal CF Post-Open Recovery Competition (is that really what it's called, I don't know)

Teamed up with Sarah, Amy, and Chris

C&P'd from Sarah w/ some additonal notes
WOD 1
Team accumulates 100 burpees
Carry a bunch of stuff across the parking lot
Team accumulates 100 OHS - men's RX 135, women's 95
Carry the stuff back
Team accumulates 100 burpees

time: 11:19
only did 5 OHS, as Sarah, Amy, and Chris handled the barbell like it was nothing. Did my best to make up for it with 45 degree squirell burpees.

Workout 2 (15 min cutoff):
2 people run around the building- Sarah and me (about 600m)
Team accumulates 200 thrusters at 95lb (in hindsight we probably should have gone with 250 at 75lb, but we were still 2nd to the pullup bar)
Team accumulates 200 c2b pullups (team can assist, but can't touch soles of feet)
We got 123 pullups I think. Disastrous. We took too long to figure out that a push to the back was the best strategy.

Workout 3 (8 min cutoff):
Team members each row 300m, then have 2 attempts to snatch a weight. Repeat until time runs out.
Got through 2 rounds, made 155 on my first attempt in round 1, and 175 on my first attempt in rounds 2 as the clock ran out.

Workout 4 (8 min cutoff):
Team members rotate through the following stations, once you've completed your reps take a knee, once everyone has taken a knee you can rotate:
20 Wall balls
20 kb swings (2p)- this was a surprise, thought I was picking up a 1.5p
20 box jump overs (24") feet can touch at the top of the box or not, athlete's choice
50 double unders
Then in remaining time, accumulate 15' rope climbs. We got one each.

What a weekend! Between the Bretheren throwdown and this competition I completed more workouts in 48 hours than I ever have before. Pushed myself harder than ever before and felt very lucky to be with such great people and teammates! Thanks Chris, Sarah, and Amy, and also great job to Nat, Ty, Sam, and Walker!

Team WOD Practice at Bretheren CF

WOD 1
Team of 4
Team member A: Fran (Molly)
Team member B: Elizabeth (Walker)
Team member C: Diane (Nat)
Team member D: Amanda (Me)

A does 21 thrusters, B does 21 cleans, C does 21 deadlifts, D does 9 muscle ups
A does 21 pullups, B does 21 ring dips, C does 21 HSPU, D does 9 snatches
... all the way down to the round of 9 and 5 for Amanda

Felt destroyed after, which is humbling considering the amount of rest between efforts. Tried to do everything unboken, worked well until the round of 5.

WOD 2
In teams of 2 (I was with Molly; who carried us!)
8 min AMRAP
5 clean and jerk (185/115)
15 GHD
30 DU

score: 5+3
Molly did all the GHD, I did the DU, I got the better deal. Way to kill it Molly!

WOD 3
double elimination Tug-of-War

In a team of Walker, Nat, Molly, and myself we estimated our total weight around 570 pounds. Easily 100 pounds lighter than either team we lost to. Fuck it.

Post Workout:
played around with the flying pullp bar

Compression gear and sticking it out tonight, back at it tomorrow. Maybe this is the kick start I need.
